Special Council Meeting, March 19, 2024
The Special meeting of the Miramichi River Valley met at 18:00 hrs with Mayor Russell residing.
- Auditors Financial Statements
Moved by Councillor Brennan, seconded by Councillor Sheasgreen to approve the audited financial statements as presented by Jill Stairs of Daye Kelly & Associates for the year 2022. MOTION CARRIED.
(1.2) Auditor
Moved by Councillor M. Vickers, seconded by Councillor Brennan to hire Daye Kelly & Associates to audit the Miramichi River Valley 2023 books. MOTION CARRIED.
(1.3) Generator
Moved by Councillor Sheasgreen, seconded by Councillor Hallihan to accept the quote from ProStar for a 100kw Kohler Diesel generator package in the amount of $92,280.00 plus HST. MOTION CARRIED.
(1.4) RCMP Lease Agreement
Moved by Councillor M. Vickers, seconded by Councillor S. Vickers to approve the 5-year lease agreement with the RCMP. MOTION CARRIED.
Moved by Councillor M. Vickers to adjourn the meeting at 19:15.
Council meets in regular session on the first Tuesday of each month. Meetings begin at 6:00 pm in the Council Chambers at the Miramichi River Valley Municipal Office, 12 Bartholomew Road South in Blackville and are open to the public.
