Statement from Mayor Hennessy Regarding Blackville Fatal Collision

Statement from Blackville Mayor Chris Hennessy:

Today’s events are those of which no one or no community can prepare for.

Our community in the coming days will mourn together, grieve together, cry together and share memories and thoughts together.

Together as a community we will support each other in any way we know how, and also participate in the counciling process.

In the coming days we must be our brothers keepers. Check in on friends and family, maybe just a quick phone call or a visit if possible. Offer means of support, or if needed they will be made available.

I would like to take this time to send my deepest condolences to all the families, friends, relatives of everyone involved.

It is also necessary to mention the honorable First Responders that our community is so lucky to have. You folks are the bravest, and I am honored to stand by you all and consider each of you my brothers and sisters.

Thoughts, prayers and love to all in Blackville, NB
Heart breaking loss once again for this beautiful Community. Thinking so much of the friendly, helpful young employees who work at the stores I frequent; the firefighters and first responders and all of the people I have been blessed to meet during my summer days in Blackville ๐Ÿ’”
