The oath of office ceremony, for the newly formed Rural Community of Miramichi River Valley mayor and council elect, will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 7:30pm. This ceremony is open to the public and takes place at the Blackville Community Centre, 12 South Bartholomew Road.

This event will see the swearing-in of new mayor Kevin Russell and councillors Jeffrey Sheasgreen (Ward 1), Darlene Gillespie (Ward 2), Amanda Brennan (Ward 3) and the three councillors-at-large Dwain Hallihan, Morgan Vickers and Sharon Vickers.
