The Blackville Women’s Institute Christmas Craft and Bake Sale has become a highlight of the Christmas shopping season in Blackville. The annual event, held today at the Blackville Community Centre, was a huge success with lots of patrons out looking to get a head-start on their Christmas shopping.
Over a dozen vendors were on hand, selling everything from handmade knitted goods and crafts, to jams and jellies, Christmas decorations, and baked goods.
As in previous years, members of the Women’s Institute sold tickets on a handmade quilt and hosted a ‘tea room’ as part of their fundraising efforts.
The Blackville Women’s Institute meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 10am at the community centre and new members are welcome to attend.
