Boat Ramp at Blackville Municipal Park Reopened
As of Friday afternoon, April 24, the boat ramp at the Blackville Municipal Park has been reopened, after New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs announced the lifting of some public health restrictions put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Blackville Mayor Christopher Hennessy reminds people to practice physical distancing. “Please follow the physical and social distancing policies and procedures and please do not gather in groups. This is a trial run and hopefully we can use it properly!”
The first phase of New Brunswick’s recovery plan and the loosening of some public health restrictions were announced today by Premier Higgs and the COVID-19 all-party committee which includes Liberal leader Kevin Vickers, People’s Alliance leader Kris Austin and Green Party leader David Coon, and by Dr. Jennifer Russell, chief medical officer of health.
The delay on spring seasons of recreational fishing and hunting has been lifted. With physical distancing, people can now enjoy the outdoors including the trails at Blackville Park.
