Vickers River Tubing has donated $1,000 to the Blackville Rec Council towards the installation of a new outdoor basketball court that will be erected in the village.
Tyler Vickers, owner of Vickers River Tubing, has challenged other local businesses, groups and organizations to make a donation as well.
Donations towards the Rec Council’s basketball court project can be made at the Blackville village office, 12 South Bartholomew Road. The office is open on Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., and on Fridays from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Fundraising efforts continue for the project, including a recent slow pitch tournament held at the Blackville Ball Park.
