A new community-based library has been installed this week at Blackville Foodland. This is a free library for the community and is based on the “Little Free Library” project.

The library belongs to everyone. If you see a book you would like to read, take it and return it when you are finished – you do not need to sign it out. Or if you want to keep it, you can return a different title in its place.

The library is located at the front of the store near the soup nook. Due to the size of the bookcase, large donations of books cannot be accepted in-store. If you would like to donate multiple books to the library, please contact for more details.

New books will be added periodically, so check back often. Special thanks to Roland Sturgeon for donating his time and materials to the construction of the bookcase.
