Fundraising efforts continue for the new outdoor basketball court in Blackville. Clem & Naomi Savoie of Blackville Foodland have donated $1,000 towards the project, with an additional $365 raised by Foodland customers. The Savoies wish to thank the community for their donations towards the project.

Since August 2021, the following groups/organizations have also made contributions:

• TCU Transport Ltd. donated $1,000.
• Ron Underhill Trucking Ltd. donated $1,000.
• JAC Logging donated $2,000.
• The Handyman donated $1,000
• Cains Energy Services Ltd. donated $1,000

Donations towards the Rec Council’s basketball court project can be made at the Blackville village office, 12 South Bartholomew Road. The office is open on Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Cheques can be made payable to the Blackville Recreation Council. E-transfers can be sent to .
