Blackville Businesses Recommend Mask Wearing During Increase in Area Cases
Several Blackville businesses will be recommending mask wearing and social distancing while the area faces a rising number of COVID-19 cases. As of Tuesday, August 24, there are 19 positive cases in the Blackville and surrounding area.
Upriver Ice Cream is requiring their staff to wear masks and asks customers to please wear masks and maintain 6 feet of space. Sanitation of picnic tables will continue.
Hooked ‘N Cooked has closed it’s dining room and will return to take-out only. The strongly suggest that their employees and customers return to wearing masks.
Blackville Trio Pizza‘s dining room remains closed and continue to do take-out only. They ask that customers kindly wear a mask when at the take-out window. Employees will be masked.
Blackville Credit Union is recommending that masks be worn inside.
The Greater Blackville Resource Center will be closed this week due to the rise in cases in our area.

A community vaccination clinic will take place this Saturday, August 28 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Blackville Community Centre, 12 South Bartholomew Road. 12 years of age and older. Walk-ins welcome; no appointment needed. Read more.
What a shame, I was hoping to visit some of my relatives and the graves of my parents and brother. Hope all health clears up without a death.

Wish they would report the potential exposure sites, would be helpful to know so people could go get tested if exposed!

I was speaking with Public Health today about the lack of exposures and I was told that “Any close contacts of cases have been contacted by Public Health and followed up as per provincial guidelines. If unable to identify contacts, a public exposure will be posted on the GNB site: https://www2.gnb.ca/content/gnb/en/corporate/promo/covid-19/potential_public_exposure.html#7“
