White Goods Collection / Fall Clean-Up

The Municipality of Miramichi River Valley will hold its Fall Clean-Up / White Goods Collection from September 22–26. Collection will take place on your regular garbage day, with all items placed roadside by 6:00 a.m.

What’s Included – White Goods (Metal Items)

Metal items are collected twice a year (Spring & Fall). Examples include:

  • Fridge, freezer, hot water tank, bed rails
  • Washer, dryer, dishwasher, BBQ
  • Treadmill, air conditioner, etc.

Regular Garbage Day Allowance

Each garbage day, residents may place:

  • 6–7 bags of garbage
  • 1 large item (e.g., couch, chair, rug, mattress, box spring, TV, microwave, dresser, etc.)

Windows & Glass

  • Large windows or patio doors are accepted.
  • Glass must be removed and packaged separately (e.g., boxed or in a pail).

Items NOT Accepted

The following will not be collected:

  • Sand, gravel, rocks, bricks, manure
  • Dead animals, car/snowmobile parts, propane tanks
  • Trees, lumber, construction materials, hazardous waste, oil
  • Tires, human or dog waste

Reminder: All items must be bagged, boxed, or tied and placed roadside by 6:00 a.m. on your regular garbage day.
