Village of Blackville to participate in Colour NB Pink in solidarity of breast cancer survivors and families
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Village of Blackville is participating in the Colour New Brunswick Pink initiative. The village would like people to wear PINK this Friday, October 29 to support breast cancer awareness month.
The organizer of this activity is The New Brunswick Breast and Women’s Cancer Partnership, a volunteer-run organization that provides bilingual information and support to women, and their families, going through the cancer experience in all communities throughout the province.
The NBBWCP will celebrate the communities who have contributed to the initiative with a visual representation of the activities; each engaged community will be represented by a heart in their area of the province on a New Brunswick map to illustrate “Colouring NB Pink”.
The NBBWCP anticipates that the outcome of this province-wide initiative will demonstrate the benefits of “doing together what cannot be done alone”
