Update on COVID-19 Cases in the Blackville Area

NOTICE FROM MIRAMICHI PUBLIC HEALTH

At this time, we have 19 positive cases of COVID-19 that have been reported in the Blackville and surrounding area. The provincial mandate now requires unvaccinated close contacts to remain isolated in their homes for up to 14 days.

Due to the increased number of COVID-19 cases public health will offer a COVID immunization clinic at the Blackville Village Office on Saturday August 28 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. No appointments necessary. Anyone 12 years of age and older are eligible.

Please note – If close contacts of cases have received two vaccines and have no symptoms – no isolation is required.

No isolation for fully vaccinated close contacts? They can carry the virus onto anyone who is unvaccinated and even get sick themselves. I don’t understand.

Interesting and worrisome for the people of Blackville

What do you mean that if vaccinated no need to isolate – if in contact vaccinated people can still get the virus and carry it to others – isolate if you have been in contact please – think of others and GET VACCINATED and maintain social distancing and for heavens sake wear a mask
