The swearing-in ceremony for the two new Miramichi River Valley councillors is set for Thursday, May 1 at the municipal office, 12 South Bartholomew Road in Blackville.

New Ward 1 Councillor Paula Hare and new Councillor-at-Large Ray Croft will take the oath of office.

The event takes place at 6:30pm and is open to the public.
