The Renous Quarryville Fire Department hosted an appreciation BBQ on Friday, September 8 to mark the re-opening of Renous River Bridge No. 2 in Pineville. The bridge, vital for the community and first responders, had been closed since December 2021.

In a statement on Facebook, RQFD Fire Chief Dwain Hallihan, on behalf of the fire department said, “The RQFD wishes to thank the DTI bridge crew – District 2 for a job well done and MLA Mike Dawson for advocating on behalf of his constituents.”

The bridge re-opened on August 23. Repairs were completed earlier this summer.
