NB Teen Apprentice Program Information Session at BHS
Matt Sturgeon will be hosting a public information session on Wednesday, February 22 at Blackville School regarding the New Brunswick Teen Apprentice Program. The session will be held in Lori Brophy’s classroom at 7:00pm for parents of students in grade 10 or 11.
This program gives grade 10 and grade 11 students who are interested in pursuing a career in the skilled trades industry, the opportunity to complete up to 3 paid summer work placements with a local licensed tradesperson.
The beauty of the program is that every hour that each student completes in their placement is written off and credited towards their first block of apprenticeship after graduation, all while getting paid!
With 4 local employers signed on in the Blackville area, and 9 total in the Miramichi and surrounding areas, there is a great opportunity for your child to go to work with an approved employer this summer.
