On Saturday, May 6, the Miramichi River Valley municipal council hosted a Firemen Appreciation Night at the Renous Recreation Center.  Firefighters from all three departments in the region – Blackville, Renous and Sunny Corner – were in attendance.

Also present at the event were Miramichi River Valley’s Mayor Kevin Russell, Deputy Mayor Morgan Vickers, councillors Dwain Hallihan, Sharon Vickers, Jeffrey Sheasgreen, Darlene Gillespie, and Amanda Brennan, in addition to Chief Administrative Officer Tina Hayes and Member of Legislative Assembly Mike Dawson.

The ladies of the Renous Rec prepared the meal.
