Local Church Bells to Ring 100 Times to Commemorate 100th Anniversary of end of WWI
/Posted on: November 6, 2018/
A soundwave of bells will toll 100 times from coast to coast to coast at the setting of the sun on November 11th, just like they did in 1918.
St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church and Holy Trinity Anglican Church will participate in Bells of Peace, a commemorative initiative marking the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War. Both churches will ring their bells one hundred times at 5:00pm. Saint Andrews United Church, whose bells toll each hour, will also ring on the hour.
Step outside to hear the bells ring throughout the village at 5:00pm on Sunday, November 11.
Bells will be rung at St. Agnes’, Gray Rapids as well.
