On Friday, December 23, a fire claimed the home of Bonnie Miner of Upper Blackville.  She lost everything in her home, as well as her two cats.  Bonnie, who was away at the time of the fire, had no house insurance.

On Sunday, January 22, there will be a fundraising benefit from 2:oopm to 8:00pm at the Renous Recreation Centre, 2 Young Lane.

There will be live music and open mic, 50/50 draws and a Chinese auction.

A light lunch will be served, and the Country Tornadoes will perform throughout the day.
