Canada Day Celebrations in Blackville
Celebrate Canada with the village of Blackville! On Thursday, June 30, the annual Canada Day fireworks are set to light up the sky over the village. From 8:00pm to 10:00pm, there will be entertainment at the Blackville Municipal Park by Debbie Muck and Eric Hendricks. The Blackville Fire Department will host a BBQ and fireworks will begin at dusk.
On Friday, July 1, a breakfast will be held at the Father AA McKinnon Memorial Hall from 7:00am to 11:00am. The menu includes bacon, eggs, toast, hashbrowns, tea, coffee and juice. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 years and younger.
From 12:00 noon to 2:00pm, St. Raphael’s C.W.L. will host their annual Strawberry Tea, also at the Father AA McKinnon Memorial Hall. Cost is $5 and includes strawberry shortcake, tea and coffee.
The annual Canada Day parade will begin at 3:00pm and travel the usual parade route from Hooked ‘N Cooked to Brennan’s Circle K, down Digby Street and end at the Blackville Park. If you are participating in the parade, line-up begins at 2:00pm at the Hooked ‘N Cooked parking lot. Immediately following the parade, there will be a bbq, cake, entertainment by Amy & Friends and activities at the park.
