Blackville's Big Bike Run Raises $2700 for Heart & Stroke Foundation
The Heart & Stroke Big Bike rolled into Blackville on Friday, September 14 as “The Blackville Community Hearts” team biked the three-and-a-half kilometer return ride from Foodland to Hooked ‘N Cooked.
The team, comprised of Foodland staff, local business employees and members of the community, literally stopped traffic along Main Street as people waved them on to show their support.
A total of $2700 was raised by team members, donations and the community.
Blackville Foodland managers Naomi and Clem Savoie, who organized the event, say they look forward to next years Bike Run, “A big thank you to all the community who donated and were a part of this event, the community who purchased Red Hearts, to those who rode the bike and sponsored the bike riders and to all who donated to the cause.”
