Blackville Recreation Council's Annual Skating Party a Success
The Blackville Recreation Council hosted their free skating party on Friday, February 3. The annual event was well attended with more than 125 kids on the ice.
Mayor and council were in attendance as well as local volunteers and MLA Jake Stewart.
Free hot dogs and hot chocolate were provided. Local businesses donated prizes worth over $2,000.
Ian Fortune, president of the Blackville Rec Council was very pleased with the turnout, “The turn out for the Annual Skating Party was awesome. Even with the extreme low temps! Great appreciation to the companies and personal donations of prizes! Would not be possible without the donations! Until next year!”
