Blackville Fire Department Receives New Truck
The Blackville Fire Department is home to a significant new piece of equipment. A custom-built two-thousand gallon Pumper-Tanker from Metalfab Fire Trucks arrived on Saturday, June 11.
Jacques Pelletier, sales representative with MFT, delivered the new fire truck and held training sessions throughout the day.
Village of Blackville Councillor Cindy Ross, fire chief Garth Underhill and Blackville volunteer firefighters were on hand for the delivery.
The new truck joins the current one-thousand gallon 2005 pumper-tanker, and a 1982 Metalfab unit that is still in operation. The Blackville Fire Department will host an open-house in August.
Metalfab LTD, a Canadian company, is a manufacturer of custom engineered Fire Apparatus and is located in Centerville, New Brunswick.
