Blackville Fire Department Celebrates 50 Years at Open House

The Blackville Fire Department celebrated their 50th anniversary with an Open House on the afternoon of Saturday, August 25.

A free BBQ was held with hamburgers, hot dogs and curly fries, along with refreshments and cake.

Debbie Muck and Eric Hendricks provided musical entertainment and there was a bouncy castle and games for kids.

The two-hour event was well attended and enjoyed by everyone. Blackville Mayor Christopher Hennessy and members of the village council, Pat Finnigan, Member of Parliament for Miramichi – Grand Lake and Byron J. Connors, Green Party candidate for Southwest Miramichi – Bay du Vin were also in attendance.
