The special meeting of the Miramichi River Valley Council met at 18:30hrs, May 1, 2025, with Mayor Russell presiding.

BRING MEETING TO ORDER:

The mayor called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone to the meeting.

OATH OF OFFICE:

Tina Hayes was called upon the perform the Oath of Office.

Paula Hare took the Oath of Office.

Ray Croft took the Oath of Office.

NEW BUSINESS:

(4.1)  Flooring at the Sunny Corner Community Centre

Moved by Councillor M. Vickers, seconded by Councillor Hare to approve the quote from Forever Flooring to have the floor replaced at the RCMP rental space in the Sunny Corner Community Centre in the amount of $23,958.48 plus HST.  MOTION CARRIED.

(4.2)  Truck Purchase

Moved by Councillor Croft, seconded by Councillor Brennan to approve the purchase of a 2023 GMC half tonne truck from Trevor’s Mitsubishi in the amount of $36,500 plus HST.  MOTION CARRIED.

Moved by Councillor M. Vickers to adjourn the meeting at 18:45.
