Notice of Public Hearing scheduled for August 6th 2024
The Rural Community of Miramichi River Valley intends to consider an amendment to By-Law No. 57 entitled “Village of Blackville Rural Plan”.
The purpose of the proposed amendment is to amend Schedule “A” – Zoning Map of the Village of Blackville Rural Plan (By-Law No. 57) to change the zoning from “Industrial (IND)” to “Highway Commercial (HC)”, for a 1.15 hectares (ha) portion of the Subject Property described as PID 40037194 (no civic address assigned), Howard Road, Blackville, Miramichi River Valley.
The proposed amendment is required to allow the construction of two rowhouse structures containing 4 dwelling units each on the subject portion of the property.
Interested parties may inspect the proposed by-law online at or at the Municipal Office during regular operating hours:
- Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm; 12:15 pm – 4:00 pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 12:00pm

Objections to the proposed by-law, which are presented in writing, shall be considered at a public hearing to be held at Municipal Office, 12 South Bartholomew Road Blackville, NB, on August 6th, at 6:00 p.m.
Anyone wishing to support or oppose those objections may do so at that time and place.
