Interfaith Community Vigil Set for July 16 at Blackville Park

An Interfaith Community Vigil will be held at the Blackville Municipal Park on Monday, July 16 at 7:00pm. This event is being planned to allow the communities of Blackville, Renous, Howards, Rapids and beyond to gather and mourn collectively for the losses we have suffered in the recent days and stand together in solidarity with the families who have lost loved ones.

Feel free to bring candles, Chinese lanterns, pictures, etc., to honour your loved ones. There will be words of encouragement and prayers offered. All community clergy have been invited to take part.

“It’s definitely a state of loss and a sad time for us,” Blackville Mayor Christopher Hennessy said during an interview with Information Morning Moncton. “All we can do is stick together and hope for the best,” he said.
