Healthy Habits Support Group begins October 22 in Blackville

A new six-week block of the “Healthy Habit” support group will begin on Tuesday, October 22 at the Blackville Community Centre, 12 South Bartholomew Road. The program will run in six week blocks until November 26. Class is held from 6:00pm until 7:30pm.

This program is limited to 25 people and includes Yin Yoga with Debra Halley. Al yoga levels are welcome, including beginners. Cost is $10 per class for six weeks – participants must commit to six weeks at a time, with the $60 payment due on the first night.

To register, please contact Arlene Waugh via Facebook Messenger, or call 506-627-6640. Spaces are limited, so register soon.

About the Program

  • Weigh in weekly or on the first and last week. Up to you – the scale is just one way to measure success. Bring a journal. You just hop on the scale and write down your weight yourself as you enter. Again, the scale will be ONE way to notice improvement.
  • Following weigh-in there will be a group chat where instructors will give a “tip of the week” or a healthy habit of the week. You will then receive a challenge of the week to work on that’s related to the tip.
  • This is NOT a WW meeting. This will be a support group to live a life of healthy habits and healthier choices, in hopes of reaching the personal goals we set for ourselves. You are your own competition!
  • Following the group chat, Debra Halley will do a type of yoga class. Each 6 week block will be a different type of yoga class and will build as you get stronger. She can adapt moves so everyone benefits. The first block is chair yoga.
  • There will be no classes during the month of December or during the summer.
  • You commit to six week blocks at a time.

If you would like to join a group that helps motivate you and backs you with support, this is it!
