Election Day is Monday, April 14 and residents of Miramichi River Valley will head to the polls to vote in a new councillor-at-large in the Local Government By-Election. The seat was previously held by former councillor Dwain Hallihan.

Meanwhile, Paula Hare has been elected by acclamation to the Ward 1 seat, as she ran unopposed following the departure of former councillor Jeffrey E. Sheasgreen.
