Christopher Sturgeon Named Blackville Fire Department Chief
/Posted on: September 11, 2020/
Christopher Sturgeon was named Fire Chief of the Blackville Fire Department in January 2020. Sturgeon has been with the fire department for eleven years and previously held the position of deputy fire chief. Matt Sturgeon has been appointed deputy.
Former Fire Chief Garth Underhill retired from the Blackville Fire Department in December 2019 after more than forty years of service.
A presentation had been planned for the firemen’s appreciation dinner this Spring, however that event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
