Village Seniors Eligible for Free File of Life Medical Kit

Residents within the village of Blackville aged 60 years and older are eligible to receive a FREE File of Life medical kit for their fridge or wallet. The kit includes a card that lists your personal medical history and medications that can be easily found by first responders in an emergency situation.
FILE OF LIFE CANADA is an invaluable resource to emergency medical teams responding to critical, life-threatening situations. To have instant access to medical facts and data can make a difference when every second counts. The card, which is kept in a red plastic pocket, labeled FILE OF LIFE CANADA, lists the patient’s name, emergency medical contacts, allergies, medications and other important information.
A FILE OF LIFE decal is applied to the front door window, which makes first responders aware of your kit. The entire FILE OF LIFE CANADA pouch is held with a magnet to the front side of your refrigerator. It is immediately accessible to first responders.
These kits are available, free of charge, to any senior 60 years or older that lives within the village of Blackville limits. To get your free kit, stop by the Municipal Office Monday to Thursday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (office is closed for lunch from 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.) or on Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
