Village of Blackville Canada Day Schedule

Celebrate the Canada Day long weekend in the village of Blackville! Please note that the ATV Trail through the park will be closed from 7:00 pm until midnight on Thursday, June 30 and from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, July 1.

Fireworks & Entertainment – Thursday, June 30 • 8:00 pm – Midnight

On Thursday, June 30, there will be entertainment by Josh Norrad & Guests beginning at 8:00 pm and will continue after the fireworks at the Municipal Park!          

BBQ and Curly Fries hosted by the Blackville Fire Department.

Fireworks will begin at dusk. More details.

Canada Day Breakfast – Friday, July 1 • 7:00 am – 11:00 am

On Friday, July 1, there will be a Breakfast held at United Church Hall from 7 am until 11 am.  Bacon, eggs, toast, hash browns, tea, coffee, and juice will be served.  Cost is $5.00 children / $7.00 adults. Hosted by the Blackville Rec Council. More details.

Strawberry Social – Friday, July 1 • 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

A Strawberry Social will be held at the Father AA McKinnon Memorial Hall from 12 pm until 2 pm.  Strawberry Shortcake and tea will be served at a cost of $8.00. Hosted by St. Raphael’s CWL. Click here for full details.

Canada Day Parade & Entertainment – Friday, July 1 • 3:00 pm

The Canada Day Parade begins at 3 pm (line up will be at 2:00 pm in the Hooked n Cooked parking lot).  Please note four wheelers and dirt bikes are not permitted in parade unless they are hauling a float.  We also ask that you do not throw candy from your float.  If you would like to give out candy, please walk along the side of your float and pass to children.

Immediately following the parade everyone is asked to join us at the Municipal Park for bingo, jump castle, foam machine, face painting, bbq, curly fries, cotton candy, and free birthday cake!

Thomas Dunn Memorial Ball Tournament – Friday, July 1 • 5 pm – Saturday, July 2 Midnight

On Friday, July 1 and Saturday, July 2 the 3rd Annual Thomas Dunn Memorial Slo-Pitch Tournament will be held at the Blackville Ball Park.  There will be 50/50 draws, prize auctions, canteen / bbq available. Click here for full details and schedule.

Lawn Tractor Races – Friday, July 1 • 7:00 pm

At 7:00 pm Lawn Tractor Night Races will be held at the racing track located at 81 South Cains River Road. Admission is $5 adults/$2 kids under 12.  BBQ and cotton candy will be for sale. Click here for full details.

Truck Pull – Saturday, July 2 • 1:00 pm

On Saturday, July 2 Dungarvon Power Track will host a Truck Pull beginning at 1:00 pm. Click here for full details for this event.
