Blackville Canada Day Celebrations held at Municipal Park

Two days of events kicked off the Canada Day long weekend in Blackville on Saturday, June 30 and Sunday, July 1. Saturday morning featured a breakfast at Saint Andrews United Church Hall put on by the UCW and other volunteers, followed by G.W.’s Truck Show and Shine at the Blackville School.

Park activities on Saturday included children’s activities, canoe races, woodsmen competition, fly casting, and a merchandise bingo. Nowhere Road and Ladies of the River entertained the crowd before and following the fireworks display.

On Sunday, the annual parade kicked off at 3:30, followed by more celebrations at the park. The Blackville Firemen’s Club provided bbq on both days.
